Henry Pizzutello is responsible for directing, managing and monitoring all investment activity, risk management, and portfolio models. He also serves in a senior advisory capacity to HFG clients.
Before moving to Texas, he served as the Director of Alternative Investments for Private Capital Advisors in the Greater New York City Area. In 2010, as CIO of Centaur Performance Group, he was the recipient of Barclay’s HedgeWeek’s “Best Credit Fund” for risk adjusted performance during the 2008 financial crisis. He has managed more than $1 billion in proprietary assets on Wall Street for Canadian Imperial Bank, Jefferies & Co., and Nomura Securities International. Henry has also served as Managing Director and head trader for the Bass family of Ft. Worth, TX, managing their convertible bond arbitrage group.
Henry has been a featured speaker on numerous investment panels most recently on “Recalibrating the New 60/40 Portfolio” at the 2023 RIA Summit in Dallas, Texas and has also been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Institutional Investor and was featured in CityWire magazine in 2018. Henry has been a recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award from 2020 to 2023.
Henry grew up in Westchester County, New York, and lived in Connecticut before moving to The Woodlands with his wife, Christine, of 35 years. He is an avid reader, enjoys sports and exercise, and plays guitar in his spare time. Henry holds a Finance Degree from Georgetown University.
