Larry A. Harvey, ChFC

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Larry Harvey is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and an Investment Advisor Representative with over 30 years of experience providing comprehensive wealth management strategies for affluent individuals, families, and business owners. Larry has been a recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award from 2012 to 2018 and his firm is consistently recognized as a top Houston-area Wealth Management Firm.

Larry started his career in 1985 with the Lutheran Brotherhood (now Thrivent) as an insurance agent and registered representative. After quickly being promoted to management as an Associate General Agent he served as the Estate and Charitable Planning Specialist, as well as the Investment Planning Specialist, for the southeast region of the USA. It was during this time that Larry’s affinity for helping clients make strategic financial decisions developed into a passion to build a business where he could impact as many lives as possible.

In 1998, Larry founded Harvey Financial Group, an independent, fee-based financial planning and investment advisory firm. In 2008, he launched HFG Wealth Management, a fee-only firm dedicated to providing family-office services to select individuals, families, and business owners nationwide. Larry continues to lead HFG Wealth Management as CEO, overseeing the rapid growth of the firm as the client list grows to ensure his vision of relentless focus on clients’ desired lifestyles and financial goals is evident in everything the team does, every day.

Larry holds degrees in accounting and business management from the University of Tampa and earned his ChFC designation from American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Larry also serves on the boards of various companies and is a sought-after advisor, providing his financial acumen and business experience to help their firms prosper.
 
Larry and his wife have been blessed with four sons and currently reside in The Woodlands, Texas. Larry is led by faith, attends WoodsEdge Community Church, and enjoys being generous with the many blessings he has been given. Larry is passionate about exploring the world with family and friends, as well as spending quality time being involved with his son’s athletic teams.

Cameron Capriotti, CPA

Wealth Advisor

Cameron Capriotti, CPA, serves as a Wealth Advisor. He works to formulate and implement financial planning strategies, manage day-to-day client advisory needs and seeks to provide solid, professional advice on ways to reach a client’s financial goals. Cameron takes an active role in educating clients about their financial needs and delivers professional wealth management through sound advice and understanding.

Cameron believes it is truly important to provide clients with the highest form of customer service and has a true passion for financial planning and wealth management. Cameron enjoys building relationships with clients and working to ensure HFG clients feel secure in knowing their financial plans are complete, efficient and organized. He began his professional career with KPMG and holds a B.B.A in Accounting and Master’s of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Outside of work, Cameron enjoys hunting, fishing, working out, A&M football, traveling and spending time with family and friends. A lifelong resident of the area, Cameron and his wife reside in The Woodlands and attend church at The Church Project.

Steve Brand

Financial Planning Specialist

Steve Brand is a Financial Planning Specialist at HFG Wealth Management. Steve brings over twenty-five years of experience in accounting, systems analysis, business development and project management expertise. Steve is involved in the financial planning and case design, scenario analytics and client service.

Prior to joining HFG Steve worked for fourteen years as a Business Analyst and Data Specialist at Aon Hewitt in The Woodlands where he was responsible for implementing enterprise wide conversions of defined contribution, benefit and health and welfare plans accurately. He began his career at Coastal Oil & Gas Corporation where he worked for ten years in accounting and system development.

Steve graduated with a B.A. from Sam Houston State. Steve and his wife reside in Willis with their son. Steve enjoys spending time with family, traveling, church involvement and staying physically active through various sports.

Kathy Coleman

Executive Assistant

As an Executive Assistant to Larry Harvey, Kathy manages the CEO’s calendar and the firm’s administrative functions. Kathy brings twenty-five years of legal, administration and financial experience to HFG.

Kathy began her career in the legal field where she worked as a legal assistant for more than fifteen years before entering the financial services industry. In 2000, she joined a financial advisory branch of American Express Financial Advisors in The Woodlands, TX. She later worked as a contract analyst for an energy trading group in The Woodlands. Prior to joining HFG, she worked as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a security special firm dealing with high net worth individuals, families and companies, both domestic and international.

Kathy resides in The Woodlands with her husband, son and two dogs. She attends The Woodlands United Methodist Church and enjoys cooking, gardening and watching sports.

Kimberly Willing

Director of Communications

Kimberly Willing serves as Director of Communications and is responsible for developing communications, brand awareness activities and community relations on behalf of HFG Wealth Management. She offers over ten years of experience in community relations, marketing, business development and branding.

Kimberly began her career with Buena Vista Pictures and The Walt Disney Company and over the past decade, Kimberly has represented a variety of industries and businesses in public relations and marketing in the community and has worked to build visibility, organizational branding, with an emphasis on public relations and community relations. She holds degrees in Advertising/Public Relations and Speech Communication from Texas Christian University. She resides in The Woodlands and is involved with various volunteer activities and enjoys spending time with her son, friends and family.

Lynn Williams

Client Services Associate

Lynn Williams serves as a Client Service Associate with HFG Wealth Management.  She has over ten years of experience as a Client Service Associate / Executive Assistant to Financial Advisors in The Woodlands and Conroe areas. Lynn has strong experience in financial procedures, policies and customer service.  As Client Service Associate, Lynn will continue to enhance the client experience by servicing clients and providing operational and administrative support to the team. Her knowledge of firm policy, procedures and technology enables her to interface with clients, anticipate their needs, resolve problems and follow through to provide exceptional service. She enjoys working with people and making sure the clients get the best and most expedient service possible.

Lynn graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. in Psychology.  She also holds an associate’s degree in journalism.  She began in the newspaper industry serving as a reporter and editor of various Central Texas newspapers until moving to Houston and has been a resident of The Woodlands for 22 years. She is the proud mother of three and the grandmother of five grandsons. Aside from her family, genealogy, photography and reading are only some of her passions.

Chuck DeAses

Interim COO

As Interim COO, Chuck is responsible for assisting the firm’s executive team with strategic objectives and acts in an advisory capacity to the Founder and CEO. He also serves as an intermediary between the team leaders and management as the point person in exploring strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

Chuck is the founder of Veritas Business Consulting, Inc., a strategic planning and human resource consulting company with offices in Austin and Houston. Chuck is a board member of Bellatore Financial, President of Cuisines of Mexico and is co-owner of two regionally based company’s. Chuck is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management in Austin, The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Austin Chapter of RIMS. He has BS degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Austin Peay State University. He is married with one son and two step-daughters. Chuck and his wife reside in Cypress, Texas. He loves spending time with his family, running and cooking.

Matt Harvey

Client Services Associate

Matt Harvey serves as a CSA II within the Client Service Team, whose core mission is to provide our clients with the best in customer service. He brings a number of years of experience from the real estate industry where listening to his clients and attention to details were critical aspects of his job. Matt is committed to providing excellent customer service while also providing detail oriented administrative support to the wealth advisors and fellow team members.

Matt is currently finishing his B.S. in Business Administration through University of Central Arkansas with a minor in psychology. Outside of work, Matt is an avid runner and cyclist. Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and training his two border collies. Matt and his wife reside in the Spring area.

Michel Gonzalez

Paraplanner

Michel Gonzalez serves as a Paraplanner with HFG Wealth Management. As a Paraplanner she works closely with HFG advisors and clients and is a dedicated member of the wealth management planning team. She holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Houston, certifications in Personal Financial Planning and Corporate Entrepreneurship, and is fluent in Spanish. Michel began her professional career at Merrill Lynch and Edwards Jones.

Michel is passionate about making a financial impact in the community and has volunteered in giving financial literacy presentations. Outside of work, Michel is an avid traveler, foodie, likes to dance and enjoys music festivals.

Danielle Frazier

Client Service Associate

Danielle Frazier is a Client Service Associate for HFG Wealth Management. Danielle is a veteran of the in the financial service industry, with over 12 years of investment experience in large RIA firms and in banks. She is adept at working with clients and creating customized financial strategies to meet clients’ individualized needs in order to help them reach their financial goals. Danielle is passionate about high-quality and detailed customer service to support the team and HFG clients.

Danielle graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She is active in the community, participating in the Communities in School program, volunteering at the Food Bank of Houston, at Generation One, and is a board member of Civil Society. During her spare time, Danielle and her husband enjoy traveling, local theaters, reading, and fitness.

Matt Doyle, CFP®

Wealth Advisor

Matt Doyle, CFP® serves as a Wealth Advisor at HFG Wealth Management. Matt has been helping clients achieve financial success for over fifteen years by providing comprehensive financial planning advice for retirement, estate, investments, and risk management. Matt’s strong work ethic and business and financial acumen help play an integral role in HFG clients’ advanced planning needs to create a viable path to help achieve their goals.

Matt has worked at various financial firms in the Houston area, from large banks to boutique RIAs. Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from St. Thomas University and holds his Series 66 license. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys live music, foosball, swimming and good food. He resides in Houston with his wife and two children.

Robert Borden, CFP®, EA

Senior Financial Planner, Chief Compliance Officer

Robert Borden, CFP®, EA, serves as Senior Financial Planner and Chief Compliance Officer at HFG Wealth Management. Robert is responsible for the oversight of the HFG Financial Planning Division, as well as the firm’s compliance functions, to ensure the firm delivers on its commitment to provide clients with an extraordinary level of service. Robert offers nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with expertise in advanced financial planning, investment management, risk analysis, and tax analysis.

Prior to joining HFG Wealth Management, Robert was an Independent Financial Planner as well as an Investment Advisor and Senior Portfolio Analyst at Paul Comstock Partners in Houston. He has attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification as well as the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation conferred by the US Department of Treasury. Robert holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Houston, the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, and the Planned Giving Council of Houston. Additionally, he holds the Texas general lines Life, Accident, Health, Property & Casualty Insurance license.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys playing golf, cycling, skiing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. A native Houstonian, he is a long time member of Second Baptist Church and resides in Katy with his wife and two children.

Catherine Heimer

Operations Manager

Catherine serves as the Operations Manager for HFG Wealth Management. She leads the dynamic client service and operational team and brings over 15 years of customer service and management experience. Catherine is well-versed in state of the art systems and procedures, helping to ensure HFG continues to deliver the highest level of client service. Prior to joining HFG, she was the Director of Operations for a regional investment firm where her responsibilities included workflow and project oversight.

Catherine is a native Texan and studied at Texas A&M University. She is a member of the Little Black Dress Society, a non-profit organization whose focus is on domestic violence abuse and education. She is actively involved in the Relief Society, a world-wide humanitarian organization. Catherine resides in Spring with her son and enjoys dancing and listening to live music.
